Lichthaus Arnsberg pr\u00e4sentiert die Ausstellung „We have time“ vom indonesischen K\u00fcnstler Yudi Noor. In diesem Jahr ist das die zweite Ausstellung im Lichthaus des Klosters Wedinghausen und der Anfang einer Serie von Projekten, gewidmet der jungen zeitgen\u00f6ssischen Kunst. Die Serie hat vor, eine Begegnung und Auseinandersetzung mit Kunst, Musik und Literatur zu f\u00f6rdern, neue experimentelle Konzepte und Projekte zu entwickeln, die das Publikum einbeziehen und inspirieren, um neue Impulse f\u00fcr die Stadt Arnsberg zu gewinnen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"We have time\" is an invitation to leave the hectic pace of everyday life behind. Time is relative and is always there for us, we just have to learn to deal with it harmoniously. The exhibition leads us to an artistic position that gives us an insight into a different philosophy and world view.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Am Anfang war die Reise, die Reise zu einer neuen Welt, als Prozess der Welterfahrung und Selbstentdeckung. Was dabei z\u00e4hlt ist der Weg, und der f\u00fchrt zu Menschen und Idealen, die das Leben von Yudi Noor ver\u00e4ndern. Getauft als Moslem, aber buddhistisch erzogen, lebt und arbeitet Noor seit Jahren in Europa, wobei das Licht einer universellen Wahrheit im Zentrum seiner k\u00fcnstlerischen Arbeit steht.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The starting point for this exhibition is the book \"Der Weltensammler\" by Ilija Trojanow. It takes us from England to Asia and Africa, through Hinduism and Islam, and shows us why the West has understood so little of the secrets of this other world to this day. The desired dialogue between cultures and religions often remains a utopia that we cannot achieve, but must not give up on either.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At Lichthaus Arnsberg, Yudi Noor presents an installation that explores the theme of travelling as an experience and transition to oneself. A boat, a floating light installation and a glass collage connect heaven, man and earth in the search for harmony with nature. \"We have time\" looks upwards, reassuring and challenging, as each of us has our journeys, encounters and longings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exhibition is organised by Kulturb\u00fcro Arnsberg in cooperation with Kunstverein Arnsberg, where further works by Yudi Noor can be seen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
