The generous ten-year cycle makes the Skulptur Projekte not only a special event, but also a venue at which the contemporaneity of public art is examined above and beyond short-lived fashions and trends. In the summer of 2017, for the fifth time, international artists are invited to realize a site-specific project at a location of their choice within the city of M\u00fcnster. A good half a year before the opening on 10 June 2017, curator Britta Peters will provide insights into the present status of the planning process. With reference to the current Aram Bartholl exhibition, the focus will then shift to the question of whether and how the increasing digitalization of everyday life is changing our conventional conception of public space.<br>herk\u00f6mmliche Vorstellungen von \u00f6ffentlichem Raum ver\u00e4ndert.<br><br>Britta Peters (b. 1967) works as an art critic and free-lance curator. From 2008 to 2011 she was the director of Kunstverein Harburger Bahnhof in Hamburg. In 2012 she curated the exhibition \u201cDemonstrationen.
